Pudding basin? We don't have pudding that big round this way, hehe.

I used an old washing up bowl. A little smaller than I would have liked, but saved me messing about alot.

And if you wish, you can post anonymously now on here. :)

My first is in pea but not in bean,
My second and fourth are both extracted from queen.
Whilst my third is a drink and rhymes with wee.

Add an 's' and a shortened nickname for allotment
and what have you got?

[Not sure myself now as I got lost halfway through, but it started out well?]

You got it!

As a prize I have arranged for no slugs or snails to visit your allotment for the next 28 days and for all caterpillars, aphids and black fly to be diverted to the neighbours plot with immediate effect.

Hehe Pete, what you like eh :D

And Bex, size matters not, its what you do with your "pudding basin" that counts :)

Back off up plot now with raging hangover to continue the never-ending task of pricking out :(

Hi Paul,

Had a great morning on the lottie today. Dug more holes for my fence posts and earthed up my spuds. But to be honest the bit I enjoyed most was chatting to my neighbouring plot holder Alan. He is an interesting person, not wanting to overpower any conversations with his own experiences but equally at home soliciting any input I may have to add.

Unfortunately I had to bring things to a halt as it was way past my 2 pints of peddie at the Red Lion.

How are things with you, found the right gal yet?

Allo Porridge.

Funny you should ask, but I may just have found the right gal.

I have been doing some gardening for her and I'm quite drawn to her, and I'm quite sure her to me too. We click very well, but I'm going to leave it to her to make the first move, perhaps anyway :D

Well done on the Red Lion priority too!

Paul..

Hi there, its all looking good.
Like the idea of the washing up bowl for the water feature. You should some a bit further north for the big puddin' basins.
Fingers crossed for you anf your girl

Hehe, thanks Sheila.

I know where to come now if I want a "bigger than in the Midlands" pudding basin :)

Not sure if you are still switched on for receiving these postings. But I have to be honest and say that I think one of the points you made when you left the allotment forum has proved to be correct. The technical content of the forum is not the whole picture. I note that there are still a number of postings regarding the 'technical' side of allotments but as a test I posted something that was on the edge of gardening and didnt receive a single response. This in turn made me feel that the forum was more of a reference point for seeking advice on vegetable matters and hence stopped posting topics and responding to others. As a result I now just get on with my plot and visit the forum much less. Probably no one has noticed but that is not the point.

In summary I think the older I become the more I learn!

Have you got married yet?

Sorry, I've been mad busy lately.

Porridge, what can I say but "you now have more time for things that are more important"

Update coming this weekend (if the sodding rain stops)

And Bromsgrove-Minga, pfft, laf in the face of your plot ;)
